1. Who we are
This privacy policy explains how InburgeringPass handles your personal data. The controller is Mixd Media LTD, trading as InburgeringPass, 63-66 Hatton Garden, Fifth floor, suite 23, London EC1N 8LE, United Kingdom. Company number (Companies House): 15216145.
Questions about privacy? Email info@inburgeringpass.nl.
2. What data we collect
Account data: your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google.
Practice data: your chosen level (A2 or B1), answers, scores, mock exam results, exam date from the planner and written answers you submit.
Payment data: whether and when you paid and how long your access runs. Card and iDEAL details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store them.
Technical data: basic log data such as browser type and IP address, needed to keep the site safe and working.
The free trial on our homepage works without an account and does not store your answers.
3. Speaking recordings and AI feedback
When you ask for feedback on speaking, your recording is sent once to an AI service to transcribe and assess it. We do not store your recordings. Practice recordings without feedback stay on your own device.
Written answers are sent to an AI service to generate feedback. AI feedback is advice only and is never an official DUO result.
4. Why we use your data (legal basis)
To provide the service you bought: your account, practice, progress and access (performance of a contract).
To process payments and keep records required by tax law (legal obligation).
To keep the platform secure and fix problems (legitimate interest).
To send emails about your account and access, such as a payment confirmation. We only send marketing emails if you agree, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
5. Who we share data with
We never sell your data. We only share data with service providers that help us run InburgeringPass: our hosting and database provider, Stripe (payments), AI service providers (feedback and Dutch audio) and an email provider. They may only use your data for these tasks.
Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers are protected by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
6. How long we keep data
We keep your account and practice data while your account exists. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Payment records are kept for 7 years because tax law requires this.
7. Cookies
We only use cookies and local storage that are needed to keep you signed in and remember your settings. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our visitor statistics do not use cookies.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to receive a copy of it, to object to its use and to restrict its use. Email info@inburgeringpass.nl and we will reply within one month.
You can also file a complaint with a data protection authority, such as the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl) or the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
9. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), strict access rules so each learner only sees their own data, and we limit staff access to what is needed.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. For important changes we will inform you by email.
InburgeringPass is independent and not affiliated with DUO.
